The Southern Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (SACPR) is an affiliate society of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Our society includes both cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation professionals from Alabama and Mississippi. We are dedicated to primary and secondary prevention methods for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.
Please contact (Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Mitch McConnell,) (Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and Congressman Paul Ryan) office and ask them to make every effort to include S.1361 /or H.R. 1155 in a forthcoming Medicare Extender package.
As you know, S. 1361 will amend title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to allow physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists to supervise cardiac, intensive cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Passage of this Bill will provide patients with greater access to cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation programs and most importantly, their associated health benefits. * Call your Senators and Representatives and let your voice be heard!*
